On a 1 to 10 scale, the Jones Flagship has a moderately stiff flex rating of 8. A fully wood core ensures solid snap throughout the board. An additional layer of lightweight carbon stringers adds torsional stiffness and ensures that the board maintains the same amount of flex over a long span of use. A wood topsheet ensures a lightweight board with less plastic and lacquer than many boards. The sinistered base makes the Flagship absorb plenty of wax for a very smooth ride. Designed with environmental responsibility in mind, Jones uses core wood that meets FSC environmental guidelines. The brand also designs the graphics colors to reduce waste.
